The ND Federation of Families is the North Dakota family voice for children’s mental health.  The ND Federation of Families works to support as the voice of families in the formation of policy that serve the needs of children with mental, emotional, and behavioral health challenges.

Families must have a voice and choice about the policies that impact them.

Family Leadership through Policy

• To identify, define, and advocate for a policy agenda based on experiences of children and youth with mental health needs and their families.
• To educate policy makers about issues affecting children and youth with mental health needs and their families
• To develop family leadership capable of effectively participating in establishing and implementing public policies that produce better outcomes for children and youth with mental health needs and their families.

Involve families as equal partners at every level of planning.
